We are changing things up

We are changing things up

January 23, 2021

Just like most small businesses, the pandemic has affected us greatly...but that isn't going to stop us from creating! We are shifting and changing in order to adapt to the new norm. Our biggest change is that our new pieces will now be pre-order only. We're so excited to test out this new strategy and we hope you like it too!

Why are we changing our operations?

Pre-orders give us an exact count of the items that need to be made before committing to production supplies. This process helps us plan with 100% accuracy how much and what we need to make your orders (fabric, trims, time, etc.), which helps us reduce excess materials and overproduction. This means NO extra waste in our life or for the planet.

As a small business, coming up with the capital to invest in production can be really tough, especially during the pandemic when our orders are not as predictable as in prior years. This makes it hard for us to calculate how much inventory we actually need to satisfy sales. By having a guaranteed order, we can confidently make the EXACT number of garments knowing they will be going home to someone special.

With an exact count of orders, we can streamline our business processes! That means Debbie can accurately plan out everything that goes into making your D.Webb threads in advance and focus on the important things....now we prioritize what YOU want and we can work efficiently to get it to you as quick as possible!

This new model of pre-orders puts the power back to YOU, the buyer. Knowing you'll have to wait a few extra weeks to receive your new piece will help you make smarter choices because you're less tempted to impulse buy! Without impulse buying, you can better determine what is best for your wallet and closet.

This new way of operating is better for us, the planet AND you! Talk about win win win! We'd love to hear what you think of the new changes we've made. Share your thoughts with us in the comments!

D.Webb Designs is proudly sponsoring an incredible show hosted by Choreographer's Vision, aka Danielle Hutton! For Love Letters 2, sixteen performers took on the courageous task of writing their own love letters, creating an ode to the self, to family, to lovers, and even to nature, with the intention of becoming a visual manifestation of intimate conversations. As there always is with a Choreographer's Vision show, there is a twist! These amazing performers will tell a story that is not their own; instead, this story is based on an anonymous love letter from a fellow dancer!
