For Love Letters 2, sixteen performers took on the courageous task of writing their own love letters, creating an ode to the self, to family, to lovers, and even to nature, with the intention of becoming a visual manifestation of intimate conversations. As there always is with a Choreographer's Vision show, there is a twist! These amazing performers will tell a story that is not their own; instead, this story is based on an anonymous love letter from a fellow dancer!
Today we're taking an intimate look behind the scenes with the host, Danielle Hutton as well announcing a surprise!

D.Webb: What inspired the idea behind Love Letters 2?
Danielle: I first produced Love Letters in 2019 where I hosted Mira Betz for a weekend intensive. As an artist, I love working with prompts that are related to the human experience and this felt like such a natural prompt to work with. To take it even further, I came up with the idea of swapping letters because I was curious to see how an artist can interpret another artist's letter. These kind of limitations can create the most beautiful work.D.Webb: What was the biggest challenge in organizing Love Letters 2?
Danielle: For one, there are so many amazing artists out there that it was a challenge to finalize our final list. Brenna and I spent two hours on Zoom creating the list of dancers we wanted to invite. The other challenge is the knowledge that we're creating this online show after a year of being limited to just online, so we have to contend Zoom Fatigue and shortened attention spans. However, I think Love Letters 2 is more than just a series of films; it's an experience.
